David Bondrow, Artistic/Executive Director, a graduate of New York University with a Bachelors Degree in Music, has a diverse background in the arts as a performer, director, educator and administrator. Now in his forth full season as Artistic Director of the Lancaster Opera House, he directed highly praised productions Damn Yankees, Oklahoma!, Promises, Promises, Fiddler on the Roof and Singin' in the Rain. David has performed locally with Shakespeare in Deleware Park, The Kavinoky Theatre, Irish Classical Theatre Company, MusicalFare, TOY, O'Connell and Co., American Repertory Theater of WNY, Upstage, NY and Buffalo Laboratory Theatre. David toured Europe in The Phantom of the Opera. He has appeared in regional theatres including North Shore Music Theatre (Beverly, MA), Mac-Haydn Theatre (Chatham, NY) York Theatre, (New York, NY) and Provincetown Playhouse, (New York, NY). David was a member of Buffalo Comedysportz, an internationally franchised improv-comedy troupe. David's concert appearances range from singing opera and pop solos with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra to sharing the stage with the Late Lionel Hampton and Tito Puente at the Lambs Club in NYC. As Artistic Director of the Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda, David received international press for his 2006 production of Grease starring American Idol's John Stevens and the Harold Lloyd Comedy Film Festival in 2007. David is an Advisor to the Buffalo International Film Festival- with whom he produced Mickey Mouse's Movie Masterpieces at Shea's Buffalo with the cooperation of Walt Disney Pictures Inc. David served on the faculty of the Hoboken School of Music in New Jersey and as Music Director of the Lockport Chorale. David developed and taught an acting course for the Animation department at Villa Maria College. David appeared in television commercials for Lasertron, VH1, and Doritos. As the host of LCTV's Access to Government, David has interviewed over seventy-five local, state and federal officials. He also hosts "Front, Row Center!" a theatre show for LCTV. David is the Past President of the Theatre Alliance of Buffalo and served as event chair for Curtain Up! 2012.
Kirkland Gilmer, Technical Director received his BA in Theatre Arts as both an actor and technician twenty-odd years ago and has been working in the performing arts ever since. He spent a number of years touring children's theatre as an actor, designer, and production manager. He also has worked as the Production Manager for the Greater Buffalo Opera Company and Production Coordinator for the Buffalo Philharmonic and Virginia Symphony Orchestras, Assistant Technical Director for Point Park College in Pittsburgh and the interim Technical Director for St. Andrews College in N.C. His local acting credits include performances with TOY, the Alleyway, Kavinoky, Ujima, Buffalo Ensemble, Irish Classical and Shakespeare in Delaware Park theater companies. Besides his regular duties as Technical Director, he has also served as Director, Assistant Director, and Scenic Designer for various productions at the Opera House, and thoroughly enjoyed cameo appearances in two productions and was a featured actor in another here at the Opera House.
