Two-time Emmy Award winning Garland documentarian
John Fricke remembers the love, laughter, and
happiness created by the “world’s greatest
entertainer” in her decades as a film, television,
stage, recording, and radio star...and how her
triumphs have proved to be perhaps more timeless
than those of any other performer. Anecdotes and
rare film and television clips provide a happy
reminder of why Judy Garland was (and is) important
to countless millions of fans of all ages.

MEET THE MUNCHKINS
SUNDAY BRUNCH, JULY 15 at 11:30am
Hear all about Oz from the people who were actually
there when the classic motion picture was produced.
Our very special guests take the stage with stories
about their work at MGM in 1938: the parts they
played, their daily associations with Dorothy,
Glinda, The Wicked Witch and 120 other little
people. Get insight in what being a Munchkin has
meant in their colorful, challenging, and remarkable
lives. Moderated by preeminent Oz historian John
Fricke. Plus, meet and mingle with Dorothy and all
the characters from Oz.

MAKING OFTHE WIZARD OF OZ
SATURDAY, JULY 14 at 2:00pm
It’s an Ozzy time machine back to 1938-39 with the
ultimate tour guide – Oz historian John Fricke. He’s
written books and produced documentaries on the
subject of MGM’s incomparable movie. Now Fricke
shares the back-story of the making of the classic
in an entertaining, funny, and revelatory
presentation. See the bizarre and ridiculous costume
and make-up ideas that were considered for the stars
– and fortunately rejected; plus photos from scenes
and musical numbers that were filmed and dropped.
